Xai-Xai, the capital of Gaza province. It has a sleepy, provincial feel to it but is a bustling commercial centre with shops, hotels and a good market.
Tourism facilities are concentrated around the beach, which is located 10km outside town. Xai Xai itself is not the tourist mecca, as the town is ten kilometres inland. 
Xai Xai is an attractive town and popular enough to have all that the traveller may need. Petrol and diesel, supermarkets, telephones, hotels, camping grounds and banks.
Xai Xai is probably the most popular place in all of Mozambique for ski-boat fishermen and their 4x4s.
