The El Hacienda complex is situated on the central coast of Mozambique, at Inhassoro in Imhambane province. 750 km from Maputo and 90 km north of Vilanculos which has an international airport and a commercial center with banks, grocery and hardware stores, many lodges and dive schools. Across the ocean from the complex is the Bazaruto Archipelago (45 minute trip by boat), which boasts some of the finest fishing grounds and a marine reserve with spectacular and diverse marine life for snorkeling and diving.

The El Hacienda complex is built on 4200 square mts of prime beach front land and is a mere 40 meters from the beach. It is bounded on four sides by a Spinosa thorn hedge providing excellent security and is fenced and gated. The garden is well developed with green lawns and inter-planted with mature and young coconut palms and well shaded with large evergreen fully bearing cashew nut trees. All buildings are sea facing and designed to catch optimum sea breezes.
All buildings brick under neat thatch and timbered with magnificent Simbire hardwood.

A thatched gazebo for social gatherings overlooks the beach and a braai area is close at hand. A second braai has been constructed between the three self contained chalets. A secure pedestrian gate with cement steps leads down to the beach and a beach shower is located just inside this gate. Water is supplied from a borehole and the lodge is on mains electricity supplemented by gas for geysers and cookers.

CHALETS:
3 x 4 bed self catering units. Fully tiled kitchens, bathrooms & covered front verandas. All rooms have ceiling fans, gauzed windows, burglar bars and are curtained, beds have mosquito nets with side opening.
All kitchens have fridge/freezers, microwaves, toasters, kettles and gas burners and full crockery, cutlery, glasses, pots and pans. Bathrooms are well equipped with imported pine fittings. Tables and chairs are provided for the verandas which have roll up blinds for shade and inclement weather.

(part of the original homestead and have been enlarged and renovated)

Lounge area with ceiling fan and cane furniture. DSTV and small sound centre.
3 x double bedrooms, en-suite bathrooms, gauzed/barred windows, curtains, ceiling fans and mosquito nets.
All rooms have cement ceilings roofed with neat thatch and hardwood Simbire poles.
A wide covered veranda runs the full length of these bedrooms and tables and chairs are provided.
The main block is in 2 sections separated by a wide breezeway leading off to the ladies and gents toilets.

Large kitchen with good cupboard storage and work surface. 6 plate, large oven, gas cooker. Generous crockery and cutlery and cooking utensils, toasters, kettles, trays, chest freezers, large double door fridge, ice maker, hot and cold water dispenser. Serving area with 2 wooden tables and domed hot tray.

Neat laundry with commercial washing machine, tumble drier, steam irons, ironing board and wooden airing rack. Well equipped with bed linen, towels, table linen, kitchen linen, mattress and pillow protectors and cotton bedspreads. Generous electrical points.
